GILL SANS
This is a collaborative series of three posters that were to shed a light on the dark story of its designer. Eric Gill was a painter, sculpturer, printmaker and typographer with a figure of controversy following the relations of his sexual abuse. Having known this we decided to depict Gill Sans in less of a playful way, than most-common tube association.
Consequently, our specimens were inspired by his early work, oftentimes depicting his religious believes with black ink on papyrus. We concentrated on the letters „o“, „s“ and the famous „g“.
