CONCRETE FLOWERS
Concrete Flowers is an art zine about a personal relationship with the space of Warsaw. This is a collaborative project where Zuzanna Stadnik and I interpreted the same topic differently and shared our emotional and physical experiences. I concentrated more on sharing my emotions regarding moving to the capital of Poland - Warsaw. Feeling lonely at that time, I would buy myself bouquets to embrace the solitude. Consequently, in the zine, I illustrated them, as well as other objects, which were comforting to me. Zuzanna concentrated on the relationship between concrete and nature within a city. Both of us illustrated parts of our surroundings to emphasize the importance of space in the everyday life.
The zine took a form of a foldable map which is a reference to the whole exhibition Sense Of Space held at the School of Form during the WIZO workshops with a university from Haifa, Israel. The other side of the zine was an opening poster and the opening piece of the exhibition.
